He had no conceivable motive other than self-defense. Who is embarrassed by that?

I don't remember that it was an embarrassment to the U.S. when the CIA guy left Pakistan last year, either. What were we supposed to be embarrassed about? It's far from a secret that our CIA and the Pakistani government have worked together very closely for decades.TSBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02790614121966204073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5803385070922797451.post-91316229260868619162011-02-16T13:01:59.907-08:002011-02-16T13:01:59.907-08:00No, they haven't said that, but if this goes t...No, they haven't said that, but if this goes to trial couldn't it end up being a huge embarrassment for the US? as in when the CIA Chief was outed last year.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5803385070922797451.post-61122984371860015192011-02-15T11:30:19.110-08:002011-02-15T11:30:19.110-08:00Anonymous,

So far as I know, Pakistan has not alleged that in the case of Davis.

Whether Davis had diplomatic immunity when the Lahore incident occurred is the heart of the matter. The U.S. Embassy says it notified the Foreign Office that Davis is a member of its staff, and therefore he has immunity. So far as I know, the Foreigh Office has not contradicted that claim.TSBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02790614121966204073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5803385070922797451.post-70943397669324284152011-02-15T09:51:37.746-08:002011-02-15T09:51:37.746-08:00Well written essay answering all questions except ...Well written essay answering all questions except my main concern.

Suppose Pakistan and US both know that Davis was working for the CIA
as a spy.
