House Oversight Committee Releases Report on U.S. Secret Service

Read the report here U.S. Secret Service: An Agency in Crisis (alternative title: Jason's Revenge). Be prepared to spend several hours, because it's a long compendium of scandals, misconduct, failures, abuse, mismanagement, and collapsing morale.

Best quote from a Secret Service agent's e-mail was this item on a pre-departure checklist: “Cash fo dem hoes-check

TSB: The AP reports:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Two servicemen have told Congress that American special forces called in an air strike on a hospital in Afghanistan because they believed the Taliban were using it as a command center, contradicting the military’s explanation that the attack was meant for a different building. (They said the Afghan forces manipulated them into believing this.)

This is another of countless examples demonstrating that in our military the truth very seldom gets to the top and that is bad for morale. gwb

TSB: It has been about 70 days since Putin announced that Russia could not stand by and do nothing about ISIS. This guy (Paul Roberts) seems to be hitting the nail on the head when it comes to the US response. And when it comes to the 'Candidates'...OMG!

C-span journal should be asking it's callers what they think we should do to avoid world war III. gwb
