Most Eyebrow-Raising Headline of the Week

Gun-Wielding Bride Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Groom - News Channel 5, Murfreesboro TN

"Responding officers let the husband know the honeymoon was over and his new wife was going to jail," said Sgt. Kyle Evans with the Murfreesboro Police Department.

As described in a Murfeesboro Police Department report, 25-year-old Kate Elizabeth Prichard, the bride, and her spouse were drunk and arguing outside the Clarion Inn and Suites when Prichard pulled out a 9mm pistol from her wedding dress, threatened the groom, "J-Rod" Burton, with it and then fired a shot into the air, causing bystanders to call the police.

The inevitable Facebook search resulted in a bit of TMI about the bride and groom. "In advance of her marriage, Prichard last month got a pubic tattoo declaring “Property of J-Rod.” The lucky J-Rod replied with "I love her crazy ass."

You may wonder whether or not this marriage can be saved. I say, why not? J-Rod has made his own mistakes with firearms in the past, when he was arrested in 2015 for shooting a member of a rival motorcycle club in the foot during an argument inside a Clarksville clubhouse. But he was given a second chance when a judge let him plead guilty to a reduced count of reckless endangerment. So I'm saying he should be slow to judge others.

Can these two crazy tattooed kids find happiness? I hope so.

Great Post TSB: These two look like Trump voters to me. It will be interesting to see who gets convicted first. Trump has one advantage, he doesn't drink. gwb

TSB,

I must beg to differ. The situation is abnormal. Traditionally, the bride's father packs the heat at WT weddings.

Not drinking is a considerable advantage, especially when anybody might be packing at these more, ah, joyously unrestrained wedding parties.

Any word on what sort of concealed holster the bride prefers or was one built-in to her wedding gown?

TSB: NBC, Juan Cole, CNN and Fox are belittling Pres. Trump as being unfit for the job for his "Fire and Fury" statement. Everyone saying it's time for diplomacy and calm. I think he has been playing this whole thing just right. All the above have been saying the same of him from the day he decided to run. Obama gave the military and deep state everything they wanted...MOST OF ALL a mandate requiring everyone to pay unlimited prices for drugs and healthcare! Only 50% voted for a bunch of paid for candidates who couldn't fill a high school gym.

Trump will end N. Korea's nukes but he won't be able to end that government mandated unconstitutional health tax. Florida Maquis is the only one who has this right so far and Jeff Sessions has a good chance to nail Hillary and Obama as well as make good progress on the 100 to 200 a day dying of opioid overdoses. (many states are vastly under reporting these-not putting it on death certificates means they cannot be counted) gwb http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-08-08/opioid-crisis-even-worse-we-thought

CAA: My off-hand guess is she was packing in one of the compression tank tops or yoga pants/tights that they market to gun-carrying women now. I see them for sale at the range I use. But I do like the idea of a holster designed right into the wedding gown, That could be quite the fashion statement.

TSB: Yeah for "Hot Yoga Pants!" gwb

GWB: those yoga pants and shorts with holsters sewn in just behind the hip make it look like the women are shrink-wrapped in spandex, not that there's anything wrong with that. So long as they do the job at concealment, I say good for the gun-packing yoga women.

I like the Voltaire quote! Maybe, as in Candide, it's time to withdraw a bit and just cultivate our gardens.

TSB: Russian Ambassador To Sudan Found Dead, Drowned In Own Pool:62yo: According to Sputnik, before taking his post in Sudan, Shirinskiy served at the Russian embassies in Egypt, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Rwanda. appeared to have symptoms consistent with a serious heart seizure, Konyashin said, adding that doctors were immediately called to the scene, but were unable to save his life.

I'm thinking this was an inside job. Lots of Sudan guys who went to Syria are
not too happy with the Russians. Probably "SUDAN DEATH SYNDROME" gwb Of course his girl friend could have slipped something into his whiskey sour. That's what I always worry about once they find out I don't have any money.

Vacation? No, no rest for the weary. I've just been hanging back from Blogger since I haven't seen much I wanted to comment on. However, by coincidence, I'm drafting something now that should go up tonight.
