Dr. Birx, though, is done for, in a political sense. She seems to completely lack Fauci's glibness, or maybe it's his incessant jabbering, that makes him immune to consequences when his own words catch up to him.
One year ago Fauci was all 'you have nothing to fear from COVID, don't ban travel from China, and there's no need to wear a mask.' Today he's on to proclaiming it's a new Dawn of Science and Biden in which officials - like him! - won't lie to the public anymore.
Fauci has been working for the USG since 1968 and is still going strong. He can have such a long career only because he can dodge, dip, duck, dive, and dodge again when he sees trouble coming.
Well the candle explosion introduces a whole new dimension to one night stands.

And then Dick Durban's "Domestic Terrorism Law" which authorizes investigations into anyone who might be thinking of becoming one in the future for protesting anything the government might want to do. No warrant needed.

Cuomo found to have undercounted NY nursing home deaths by 50% by the NY Atty General. In one nursing home on one day in Aug 2020 29 died in one day of covid and none were counted. Some places that would be considered a crime but Cuomo had no immediate comment.
