Computer Geeks Have the Oddest Sense of History













It is the sixth of June, and Google celebrates the anniversary of ...... Tetris, the computer game that was created on this day in 1984. Tetris?

    I guess it was a tough choice for some IT manager. On the one hand, a turning point in history in which 10,000 U.S. troops died to liberate Europe from the Nazis, and on the other hand, a popular computer game.

    I was thinking the same thing. I went to check google to see if they had stuck anything up for the anniversary, and...what? Tetris?

    I think someone needs a gentle smack upside the head about history.
