Banned In Bahrain!

Well, that's a relief.

On TDY this week, I was unable to connect to a particular FS blog, one whose author recently had a session with official critics of her employment of social media. I was afraid that meant she had decided to take her blog down.

But it turns out she is merely Banned In Bahrain. The reason for that ban is unknown to me. Quite possibly, there is no reason. But it's no big deal, and much better than what I feared had happened.

Update:

Looks like I posted too soon. While it appeared to me that the blog was merely being blocked, I'm informed it has indeed been taken down.

  1. Actually, just checked it out and the blog in fact has been taken down. Another good one bites the dust.

TSB: The USG is getting real serious about cutting spending, but you have to wonder if the bureaucracy is really capable of fighting any kind of war. You could add that all the bulldozers sitting at nearby Ft. Hood weren't available for the conflagration. gwb

  3. TSB: In Libya those 150 military vehicles leaving the southern border were maybe hauling the gold while the G man remains elusive. Doesn't this remind you a little of Iraq where the looted treasury finances the guerrila war? All Libya's water and big open borders are in the south. gwb

Defying Israel's blockade, PM Erdogan says Turkey will send aid shipments to Gaza under the protection of naval forces. TSB: I see why you didn't think we could side with Turkey on Syria. We are "slaved" to Bibi. gwb

  5. Consul-at-Arms,

Yes, Sass and Sweet has been taken down. Diplopundit now has it in her list of blogs 'gone dark.'

    I'm surprised.

  6. TSB: Sass and Sweet was great. At Ft. Hood the idea that a contractor could even READ your or her blog at work would be crazy. You get dirty looks for even talking about this stuff at work. (I know, I got lots of them!) These blogs are the best way I've found to keep up with what is/has happened. Great appreciation to all your blogmates! (Trogs and Sassy alike!) gwb
