TSB: 'bs'Joe Biden is leading our diplomatic efforts in Ukraine this week with a personal visit with the leaders. Afterwords Prime Minister'Yatsi' went to address the parliament on the meeting to assure them reforms are (still) on the way. A brawl ensued but it's hard to tell who to punch when both sides want to get rid of him. Yatsi tried to make peace by calling the guy a moron. Biden had no comment but they did postpone the vote. Those guys defintely need some cupcakes!! gwb

TSB: Homeland Security is revising the terror alert thingy to make it more statistically relelevant to today's realities. The idea is to keep hope alive while maintaining the proper level of fear. They aren't done working it but here is a rough draft gwb

I loved that latest fight in the Ukrainian parliament! And Biden would make the best President Pro Tem of the Rada ever if he wants a post-retirement gig.

Ah, hopes and dreams.

TSB: James: That Biden address to the rowdy Rada was an emotionally charged Biden classic. Delivered with all the 'corrosion protection' you could ever want.

TSB: Speaking of 'If you see something, say something...One of my wife's co-workers was kidnapped on the way to work Friday by the Guerrero State Police. He was held for about 3 hours and they had all the info on his family. He was released with his car, but not his cellphone, cash, credit cards (and probably his bank accounts). You don't report these things or the real problems begin. She says the security situation is getting really bad in the northern suburbs of Mexico City. gwb

My sympathies to your wife and her co-worker. The Mordita is something you never (or very rarely) think about when you live in the Anglo-Saxon world, but it's a major concern for most other people.

Thanks TSB: She handles this stuff admirably but that poor guy was totally destroyed as of Friday. I'm pretty sure he will be moving his family closer to work soon and get help from the company for a place to live. Rents are going thru the roof in central Mexico City where everyone is more afraid of Donald Trump than the police. gwb
