Thank you, WaPo Pop Culture blogger Alyssa Rosenberg, that was excellent. I'm even overlooking the annoying vocal fry.
Best reader comment on the WaPo site came from Nitpicker:
Alyssa, spend 30 years drinking whiskey and smoking cigars, then re-voice
A bit cruel, I suppose, but he's not wrong.

Great post TSB! It reminds me of this great book I have been reading about the revolution in Russia from 1825-1917 by historian Tom Holland. gwb (I'm up to 1910 so far)

Public Policy Polling asked US voters if they favored bombing “Agraba.” Some 30% of Republicans said “Yes!”
Agraba is the fictional land of Aladdin in the Disney cartoon. There isn’t actually any place so named in the Middle East, though it may be based on the Jordanian Red Sea port of Aqaba.
When they asked John McCain he said said no, those are moderate rebels and Joe Biden said 'Do they have gas?'. gwb
Obviously they had no corrrrrosion coverage. Vatos idiotos!
Bombing a Disney cartoon country Is not the craziest idea I've ever heard (sadly). A little CGI Shock N' Awe now and then would do no harm. IMHO we should take most of the war on terrorism into the cartoon realm.
I listened to some of the democrat lovefest on the drive home tonite. I was thinking 'Where's Glen Beck when you need him.' We are Doomed!! gwb
