Dalai Lama Tactical Tip Tuesday

The 14th and current Dalai Lama is beloved for his clear moral vision and for the pithy bits of wisdom he delivers with a preternaturally calm demeanor. Plus, he is all the rage right now with advocates of defensive gun use.

In May 2001 the Lama spoke to high school students in Portland, Oregon, at an "Educating the Heart Summit." As reported by the Seattle Times, The Dalai Lama said acts of violence should be remembered, and then forgiveness should be extended to the perpetrators. But if someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, he said, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun. Not at the head, where a fatal wound might result. But at some other body part, such as a leg.

The Lama's thinking on defensive gun use has evolved since then, apparently, because now he's a center mass guy.

As a public service, here is the first Dalai Lama Tactical Tip:

TSB: That's great advice from the "D L" for Bernie supporters in Portland and California. Today Bernie said:
"Within the last few days there have been a number of criticisms made against my campaign organization. Party leaders in Nevada, for example, claim that the Sanders campaign has a 'penchant for violence.' That is nonsense. Our campaign has held giant rallies all across this country, including in high-crime areas, and there have been zero reports of violence. Our campaign of course believes in non-violent change and it goes without saying that I condemn any and all forms of violence, including the personal harassment of individuals. But, when we speak of violence, I should add here that months ago, during the Nevada campaign, shots were fired into my campaign office in Nevada and apartment housing complex my campaign staff lived in was broken into and ransacked.

For the past weeks and even this morning PDX radio and tv has been saying Hillary is leading Bernie by 20 points in the polls and has no chance. (The rest of the news is all home invasions, black gang gunfire into random homes and apartments and huge heroin busts. Hillary and I are both afraid to go there.) gwb

It sounds like the Sandernistas could use some of The Lama's centeredness and inner peace right now. And don't overlook his very pragmatic position on self defense. Violence in defense is practically non-violent in practice. If you compassionately kill someone who is shooting into your campaign office, you are preventing him from becoming a murderer and thereby saving him from taking on a huge load of bad karma.

lol TSB: Now if voters who Bernie has persuaded to vote for him since December (Kentucky) could have voted he wouldn't have lost there tonite by .4%! Of course that's not as good as Hillary did in 2008 when she won by 35% but she's old and tired now. I'm still hoping Karma catches up with her at Le Hotel California! gwb

TSB: I guess Fox12 news and the other 3 networks in Portland got the pre-election polls wrong. 10 min after the polls closed Bernie is winning by a landslide and holding A HUUGE RALLY IN CARSON, CALIFORNIA!! with Danny Glover. gwb

TSB:All I heard today was ABC news saying they found the wreckage and their was no evidence of terrorism, contrary to what was previously suspected. (sounds like Comey made it a one day story?) This guy is definitely Supreme Court material if he can solve mysteries this fast! gwb

FBI Director Contradicts US Intelligence - "No Evidence" Of Terrorism In EgyptAir Crash
Tyler Durden on 05/19/2016 17:20 -0400
What truly took place is of course yet to be determined, but watching intelligence agencies contradict each other in the mad dash to comment without knowing all of the facts never gets old.

TSB: Still waiting to hear from CNN about the civilians on several greek islands who saw a really bright flash in the sky when the plane went down. That would kind of screw up their video depiction showing the plane going down intact into the sea. Fishermen also saw debris falling down after the explosion. I'm thinking it was the 'Brotherhood' and the pilots had no clue. gwb
