Aww, cmon, you aren't going with the dude suspected of terrorism for knowing diff e.q.???

Hell I sat through the Intl Spy Conference listening to Ron Olive while I did a Sudoku puzzle all viewed by the six rows behind me who deduced that I was clearly MI5 or MI nine and three quarters.

I was not planning to fly again but now that I must disclose 3 semesters of calculus and two more of diff e.q. ... but but but I wear flip flops. Does that help?

Flip flops ought to mitigate suspicions of mathyness, agreed. The Mediterranean of Interest in that airline incident described his dress as "smart casual," which is, first of all, a foreign expression, and secondly is not how real air passengers have dressed since the 1970s. Something did not add up about him.

But I went with Hooters because these 'see something - say something' security hysteria things depress me terribly.

OK you diplomads! I have a question? What does Angela Merkel do on International Mother's Day now that Prince Erdogan has pulled the rug out on her demands he quit naming anyone who disagrees with him as a 'TERRORIST'? (and fires his prime minister) gwb

Snake's Mommy,
"but but but I wear flip flops" An excellent start SM, but to round it off you must have tie-dye and of course write poetry that doesn't rhyme. Intellectualism has extremely rigorous fashion standards.

My favorite Movie: "No Country For Old Men"

Favorite Skep Declaration: "Operation Sand Trap"

Latest News: Canada: "Would You Like It Rare,Well Done,or Just Smoked?"

Churchill: "It is for politicians to see far into the unfathomable future and forecast what will surely happen. And later to be able to explain why it didn't."

TSB: The results aren't all in yet but the Presidente in the Phillipines,Rodrigo Duterte just 'smoked' his 2 rivals 2-1! His VP is the son of Ferdinand Marcos, (Bongbong Marcos).

Duterte cut crime and corruption radically as Mayor of Davao City (28 years) with vigilante justice and extra-judicial killings. (Very popular now since the the justice system in Phillipines is very corrupt.) He likes to brag about his success with the opposite sex, supports gang rape of women and intends to make the upper class pay to lift the middle and lower classes like Bernie. He has vowed to dissolve parliament and have one man rule. It's interesting to see how 'what goes around comes around' and will be interesting to see who in the US is first to congratulate him on his victory. Also will be interesting to see how long before someone tries to kill him. gwb (because "running as a populist is not easy and governing that way has it's risks.") gwb

TSB: 'bs'Joe Biden did make that trip to Baghdad (unannounced) this past weekend to 'assure Iraqi's that Abadi is a great guy and has the full faith and backing of the US government'... in another 10 minute visit he is becoming famous for. Yesterday he was on Good Morning America repeating "I would have been the best President".

Meanwhile, Russia has come out with 'Obama flavored ice cream bars'and the Clinton Crime Family (did not announce) that:

Hillary Clinton Son-In-Law's Hedge Fund Shuts Down Greek Fund After 90% Loss
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 05/10/2016 - 21:51
It was a hedge fund portfolio pitched by Hillary Clinton’s son-in-law, Marc Mezvinsky, as an opportunity to bet on a Greek economic revival. Now, two years later, the Greece-focused fund is shutting down, after losing nearly 90% of its value. Investors were told last month that the fund would close. The fund, Eaglevale Hellenic Opportunity, had raised $25 million from investors to buy Greek bank stocks and government debt.
Did I mention Hillary got 'Berned' in W. Virginia so she flip/flopped again on coal ads in Kentucky with $1 million in ads promoting clean coal jobs and cheap child care? gwb

GWB,
The version of the Churchill quote I'm familiar with:
"Politicians must possess the ability to foretell what will happen next week, next month, the next year, and then explain why it didn't happen."
I suspect this was an idea he spoke about many time in many different ways.

TSB: Speaking of corruption... Looks like Hillary is in big trouble! This latest investigation into the Clintons doing favors for their friends while she was Sec. State apparently has legs. Thus Joe Biden's latest reappearance as Plan B. gwb (I guess you can't just give STATE FUNDS to your friends even if they promise to pay it back.) gwb

Two cables were released, dated January 11, 2006 and June 21, 2006.

One shows a document sent from Sao Paolo, Brazil, to - among other recipients - the US Southern Command in Miami. In it, Temer discusses the political situation in Brazil during the presidency of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
