Yes, We Can(nabis), Except For You Feds

On a cloud of sound I drift in the night,
Any place it goes is right - Steppenwolf (1968)

The WaPo has good advice for Federal employees living in the Washington DC area who are curious about last Friday's marijuana legalization - Pot became legal in D.C. today. Does anything change for federal workers?:
Marijuana became legal in the District of Columbia this morning, but federal-workforce rules remain unchanged for the roughly half million U.S. government employees and military personnel who live in the area.

Since 12:01 a.m., local authorities have allowed anyone 21 and older to possess up to 2 ounces of pot, although the drug is still prohibited on federally administered properties such as the National Mall, Rock Creek Park and even public housing.

Despite the new policy, which came from a voter-approved initiative in November, the U.S. government still considers marijuana to be an illegal drug and expects its civilian and military personnel to abide by federal guidelines.

A threatening letter sent to the Mayor of DC by an angry Utah man had no effect, and the legalization proceeded, except for federally administered properties.

So, my fellow Feds, keep those bongs in your pocket when you get to work this morning.

If Rand Paul gets elected in 2016, then we can talk.

TSB: They might as well let em smoke pot at work. The recent period has shown we are no longer able to deal strategically with the world situation.

Hillary's regime change in Libya and the regime change in Ukraine are good examples. Anyone calling for less war and confrontation gets shouted down. This is the way empires die. gwb

Toking up in the office sounds like the wrong thing to do, then. Maybe we need to do a 'crisis crank' - cocaine cut with Valium - to give us the calm yet hyper-energetic mental state we need to deal with all the stuff going on.

But seriously, won't any of those situations ever burn themselves out?

TSB: Here goes the 1st battallion of US troops to Ukraine. 6 are planned to stay for 6 month stays.

I guess US is boycotting the cease fire agreement? gwb

TSB: With Hillary's emails we have a chance to see how effective the NSA'S efforts have been at scooping up everyone's emails. Wouldn't that be sumpthin if they had them all? gwb

TSB: What a day! Petreaus pleads guilty
to sharing classified info with his mistress and Hillary pleads guilty to sharing her emails with 'Gucifer'. gwb

The Nobel people sure took their time getting buyer's remorse over Obama. Maybe he should move to Oslo and run the Nobel Prize committee for his next accomplishment?

TSB: It will be fun to see what Hillary comes up with now that everyone wants to see her State emails. And it will be fun to hear why everyone let her get away with it. I want a witch hunt and people takin 'da fif'about those foreign contributions. gwb

James: It's on topic, if you mean being Jealous of DC's pot laws! Didn't Hoyt Axton also sing a song that went "No, no, no, no, I don't smoke it no more"? Circa 1970s?

GWB: I can't guess whether or not Hillary is still politically bullet-proof. (She totally lacks Bill Clinton's conman glibness, though.) Either way, it's probably too late for the Democrats to switch horses for the 2016 race, so we shall see whether scandals stick to her this time around.

......,I don't smoke it no more,
I'm tired of waking up on the floor,
No thank you please
it only makes me sneeze

I'll find it, I think it's called the "The NO NO song".
