Wow! That is really a high tech machine! No more anti-government tweeting for that guy.

From those great photos I'll bet the Egyptians could copy that technology and put a big MB logo sticker on it. Next: The toes model for soccer hooligans!
I've been watching that exclusive Hillary interview with Greta: big takeaways.. Morsi=trust but verify mode
Iran=all options still on the table! gwb

TSB: 11 days left for the 11th Commander-Afghanistan in 11 years.

Despite Jill Kelly emails (who hasn't had their life screwed up by a botched FBI investigation?) I like
Gen. Allen the best for being realistic. Victory-Peace-Government-Reconstruction might have worked but Victory-Government-Slog is a proven formula for what we got. (nuttin!)

TSB: Seattle times today reports that around 150 787 batteries have failed since 2007. National media totally ignoring this story. eg nyt
has this totally old story.
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/30/business/boeing-aware-of-battery-ills-before-the-fires.html?ref=global-home&_r=0
So, everyone in Seattle who is following the story now realizes the 787 power scheme is kaput and Boeing new it since 2007. Unnamed sources are the only sources! gwb

TSB: Trying to watch Hagel hearing but all I can think of is "cranky old white muppets with pursed lips and a fistful of missiles in hand"
gwb

TSB:All these senators "haggling" with Hagel seem to be saying "This war scare thing is the best racket we've ever had. We and our friends are all getting rich spending money that doesn't really exist. Don't screw it up!" (D.Vitter accusing him of hypocrisy and heresy is priceless!) gwb

The Hagel hearing wasn't too inspiring, was it? I think he didn't expect to get any 'uncollegial' questions, and he completed folded when McCain went after him in the way he usually reserves for defenseless middle managers.

TSB: Inspiring? That was like a guy with a coat defending himself against 5 neocons with knives. (see 9 sec video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ah_0gia4A0
I liked JRCole's listing of Hagel's hx of caring about soldiers and experience of watching Viet Nam villages being machine gunned. I'm glad you got your guy for State Security! gwb

TSB: When a massive explosion completely shuts down the headquarters of your country's biggest company (Pemex-10,000 workers?)and 5 days later all you can say officially is "Let's not speculate as to the cause" wouldn't you suspect that somebody was trying to send a message to the new Presidente and maybe the new CEO of the company? gwb

TSB: I think Massachusetts corruption is way more interesting than the Chicago brand. Look at the babe with this Sal Masi guy! He started in 1976 as a "neighborhood organizer" in Boston then spent 30yrs as speaker of the house. His appeal to former Justice Souter is basically: "Sure we did deals! You gotta do deals to get stuff done here. And you don't name names..we got rules!

TSB: Interesting to think what FP changes Ron Paul might have announced by now:
China:No war with China; China & S.Korea can deal with N.Korea. No military threat from Russians; No more war with Taliban. and anyone who needs US bases in their country we will consider but they pay the bill. Joint meeting with Fidel Castro to announce end of Cuban sanctions in exchange for MLB
access to Cuban ball players and Fidel throws 1st pitch April 1st!

TSB: Your tax dollars at work! This little beauty ought to spiff up Karachi's reputation as an open sewer. My sources tell me you can teleport yourself to your office from the main lobby! gwb

GWB: That real estate deal is too much. And they think the world's tallest tower will "give a big boost to the tourism industry" in Karachi??!! I never knew it had a tourism industry.

TSB: I came across this reader's comment in Zerohedge.com about Cyprus. It explains how US companies avoid taxes. gwb
The same thing is going on in the US. Company makes $100 million profit. Dummy company set up in tax haven Bermuda, Bahamas, Cayman bills the US company $200 million in "management fees" turning the profit into a loss. The tax haven country has no reporting requirement for operations not done within the country so it looks legit even though there is no work product. Not only taxes evaded, tax credits on the "losses" and the money gets laundered. These dummy companies are owned, and the accounts set up, by way of Israel which means nobody dares investigate or take action. The Russians are amateurs by comparison.

TSB: This guy is great at explaining the shenanigans of the banksters. This one is what the Russkies did to Cyprus.. begging the question why are US taxpayers (IMF) bailing them out? gwb

From WORLD 5:30pm
Dead lawyer to go on trial in Russia
Magnitsky case part of Moscow campaign against blacklists (from FT)

TSB: I couldn't read this story but I
doubt if his lawyer will put him on the stand. (the cross examination would be brutal!) A win here though would put that lawyer in the hall of fame and save Magnitsky's estate! gwb
