The Conflict to be Known as The GoPro War.

I like the slow roll-over that is performed at the end of this clip by the HAMAS troop who was wearing the camera, that accidental videographer of his own death.

There are hours of these clips on the internet now, from both sides. No modern conflict has been so intensively covered by body- and helmet-worn cameras.

It's only forerunner is Blog del Narco, that gem of citizen journalism that provides both sides of the Mexican drug wars.

People got to get as close as they can without getting anything nasty on themselves!

There is so much up-close-and-personal video from Gaza out there today! And lots of the camera wearers don't seem to avoid the splash back. I just hope they're treating those bio-hazards appropriately.

Think Diplomad is ready to hang em up?

Ah, good question. I liked his analogy of the Gaza war with the Tet offensive; I just hope the part about the destruction of the VC is repeated.

Hamas, though, is not entirely the creation of Iran, as the VC were of North Vietnam. They were originally the USG's preferred alternative to Arafat and the PLO before there was a role-switch and the PLO became the respectable one and Hamas went totally violent.

So long as they are physically present among a population that is loyal to them, I would expect Hamas to continue to present a threat.

The ancient Romans knew how to solve that kind of chronic problem, but today's omnipresent media makes that option politically impossible.
