GWB: Nothing is stable, at least in how we've come to use that word. Baghdad will fall. I think the questions should be, how far south can ISIS go toward Basra before being stopped by the Shia's militia and will (when) Iran intervene with large ground formations.
James: Iran has announced it will intervene if the fighting gets to within 100 kilometers (62 miles) of its border. My guess is ISIS will continue to control the Sunni Triangle and not much more; then, they can get down to the usual business of fighting between factions.
