Kinky Friedman stepped on a rainbow at his beloved Echo Hill surrounded by family & friends. Kinkster endured tremendous pain & unthinkable loss in recent years but he never lost his fighting spirit and quick wit. Kinky will live on as his books are read and his songs are sung. pic.twitter.com/sIXnoglSby

My ex-wife was a counselor at echo Hill back then. She knew kinkies parents and brother Roger I think was his name.
I liked Kinky.
Working there must have been quite an experience for her.
I always liked Kinky, too, more for the songs instead of the novels, and especially for his occasional political campaigns. An American original.
