I Strongly Second This Motion

In the wake of today's news about the reinstatement of four mid-level officials who were placed on administrative leave after the Benghazi ARB report cited them for blame, Domani Spero cut to the chase: Dear Senior State Department Official – It’s Time to Go.

I think we all know who that senior official is. So, do we have a quorum? All in favor? All opposed? Overwhelmingly carried with no votes cast against the resolution.

I gladly bang the gavel.

TSB: Here's more on that 'Lois Lerner Shuffle Kerfuffle'. It might take Diplopundit a week or two to take this up or maybe NSA already said that's a national security matter. gwb

The fate of the faultless four? I shall now do my Karnak imitation and " I see four positions opening up at a democratic organization (think tank, charity, NGO, you pick Karnak hazy here) for deputy assistant, assistant directors of of assistants by the end of 2013!"

Yes.

James: Me too. Could be trouble for the Chairman of the board if the House starts asking questions.

TSB: Here is your Friday 'war dump'. Who said we are irrelevant in the middle east? Oh yeah.. McCain, Graham and Fox news. Look for this after Sunday golf and maybe Obama on 60 minutes Sunday night if not too much collateral damage. gwb

TSB: I didn't know until 2 days ago that NSA has always been a law unto itself...meaning congress has never passed a law relating to it.
This could be where some of the arrogance, abuse and indifference to 'court supervision' comes from. Also the ruthlessness in crushing any opposition. With private contractors there are no limits to either funding or constitutional/civil rights/torture etc. Nice Gig Booze Allen! gwb http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/aug/23/nsa-prism-costs-tech-companies-paid

TSB: I have a question about this national security bs regarding the sarin attack. What is stopping Isreal from taking care of their own security interests in Syria rather than bitching about what Obama should do? Do they have missiles? (yes) Do they have an air force? (yes) a Navy? (yes)

I think Israel's security interests in Syria are limited to intercepting weapons going through there to Hezbollah or HAMAS. Syria's state doesn't threaten Israel (today, at least).

For Israel to attack Syria would only unify all the factions there against it, plus give the UN and the disinvestment types a field day. Why bother?
